Right before Christmas I gave myself a day off in Amsterdam, I had dreams of going for a frosty photowalk, capturing festive moments around the city with Christmas shoppers and winter tourists. What I ended up with was getting completely drenched and taking lots of hazy, moody photos. You can’t win them all, but I wanted to share what I got regardless.
You can plan and hope as much as you like, but when it comes down to it, on the day there are no guarantees. Well maybe one, a coffee from Back to Black would be waiting for me and boy, was it needed.
These were taken with the Fujifilm X-A1 paired with the TTartisan 27mm AF lens, a lovely little set up which makes this camera truly pocketable. I can’t tell you how much I prefer taking something like this out with me on trips away instead of a huge DSLR, my back is also feeling the benefit too.
