Photos From Utrecht - Fujifilm X-A1 Street Photography

As much as I would love to make yet another post about taking photos in Zwolle (and I will) I thought I should go somewhere new on our latest trip to the Netherlands.

I’d heard a lot of nice things about Utrecht and was really looking forward to seeing it for myself and photographing it for the first time.

All the pictures in this gallery were taken with my trusty Fujifilm X-A1 with a fixed 28mm manual lens.

We got there by train, we accidentally sat in a quiet carriage but were more than happy to stick to the rules for a quick peaceful journey.

On arrival you’re greeted by a huge overhead structure connecting the station to the opening of the huge mall, as impressive as it was, I was looking for the quieter areas on this visit.

It didn’t take long to find them, on our travels we stumbled across a quiet little residential area, we didn’t stay for long though, we didn’t want to intrude too much but it did have some lovely little photo opportunities.

As we made our way into the centre, on the lookout for something to eat, there were just more and more side streets to explore, more than we could fit into the afternoon we had there. Lots of bikes, canals and fantastic architecture everywhere (the usual Dutch trademarks).

Anyway, enjoy some of my favourite photos from the trip via the image gallery here or watch the video below for some extra shots and some cinematic video.

Now to start that third post about Zwolle…
